a really great Thai food place if you love delicious flavor. As soon as you walk in the ambiance doesn't blow you away, but it definitely comfortable. It's pretty much my favorite Thai place in Michigan. The service is always friendly the portions are incredibly large but when it comes down to it, you go for one reason- food quality.
Unlike most watered down Thai places, Sukothai packs a lot of flavor into each and every dish. The spice level is very appropriate and the dishes are phenomenal.
If you are a fan of peanuts get the Pra Ram Long Song. It is exceptionally delicious, trust me. And of course, be sure to order the best pad thai I've ever had. -

The woman in green is staring at me. Could it be my magnetism? Or is something more nefarious at work? Stop. Stop looking.
So, okay, it's clean, somewhat poorly decorated, definitely a place that gets its bulk from carryout. The food is...
She is still looking...
The food is good. Not great, but good and reasonably priced. A nice place for lunch. A good place for a quiet dinner. It's a neighborhood spot and not a destination.
Still..
Looking. -

Garbage food.... horrible service! What I witnessed today was u explainable... a worker was passed out in the back for over 15 mins on the floor and the cook had a fan next to her.... then they laid the girl out on a booth in the middle of the restaurant..?!?!? This is prob why the service sucked but that was the craziest thing I ever saw! The tom yum soup was boiling hot because I think they put it in a microwave for 5 mins! The pad Thai was bland and extremely small! Usually I can't finish an order of pad Thai anywhere but this was like an appetizer ??? The drunken noodle was soggy and had a funny taste to it...very ugly looking place inside I would never come back here...

When I first moved to the area I tried this place out. When we walked in there was a man in back that repeatedly said 3 times "We're about to close!" It was 45 minutes before closing. Fast forward, I stopped by here a few more times(I had forgotten that experience). I usually get the curry fried rice which I enjoy. However if something is not to your liking do not expect to be accommodated because you won't be.

My review isn't going to be fair this time, I totally walked into this place blind and ordered something that I ended up not liking. This was all my fault, no fault to the establishment. With that being said, the restaurant was clean and full of people. It seemed like a popular location. The employees were friendly. A little pricey compared to other THAI restaurants. It's my understanding that the restaurants are all different. I guess you have to stick with what you know. The dish I ordered turned out to be the equivalent of a fruity tasting stir fry with white rice. I should have asked more questions and taken my time to order exactly what I'm accustomed to normally. Oh well, lesson learned. I gave it to my wife and she enjoyed it, so a thumbs up from the boss!
